Malta: A Mediterranean Gem That Surprised Me

Malta: A Mediterranean Gem That Surprised Me

Let's get one thing straight: Mykonos is not for the faint of heart. It's a whirlwind of sun-drenched beaches, labyrinthine white-washed streets, and parties that don't stop until you do. I arrived with a carry-on bag and zero expectations, and left with a tan, a hangover, and a camera roll full of questionable decisions.

The days were spent lounging on Paradise Beach, sipping on ridiculously overpriced cocktails and judging everyone's swimwear choices. The water is this impossible shade of turquoise, the kind that looks photoshopped even when you're staring right at it. But the real Mykonos doesn't wake up until the sun goes down.

The Nightlife is No Joke

The stories are true. The clubs are insane. We ended up at Cavo Paradiso, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The music was deafening, the crowd was electric, and watching the sunrise from that dance floor is a core memory I'll treasure forever. Or at least, what I can remember of it.

And the food! Don't even get me started on the gyros. I think I subsisted entirely on them for a week. They are the perfect fuel for a night of dancing, and the perfect cure for the morning after. My advice? Embrace the chaos. Talk to strangers. Dance on a table if the mood strikes. Mykonos is a vibe, and you just have to let it take you.
